A ride on Viennas oldest rollercoaster is an absolute must for visitors to the Prater — the nostalgic classic among the attractions is still a highlight for young and old. The Viennese Prater is a large public park in Vienna, Austria.
On this journey over mountains and valleys, passengers are speeding through rocky landscapes, dark grottos and pass villages and rivers. The elfish garden gnomes placed along the track give the rollercoaster its second name: the «Gnome Coaster».
Besides the entertaining course, it is the charming settings that make this ride an experience for the entire family, while roller coaster fans appreciate it for its historical significance.
Prater Tip: Especially on hot summer days, sparkling surprises guarantee a little cooling.

- Newcastle, Australia: We were in Vienna for one night with our group of friends. We went to Vienna Prater Park and had a blast. Went on multiple rollercoasters, tried a few of the sideshows. Dodgems with our group was just an absolute blast! Could not have had a more fun night! There was no line up on most rides so for the entire night we just went from one ride to the next.
- Jerusalem, Israel: The atmosphere at Prater is a lot of fun. There are games and food stalls (mainly snacks, ok prices), and some great action rides. You pay separately for each ride so if you don’t want to spend too much money you should get an overview of the rides and decide on the ones you want most.
- Fort Lauderdale, Florida: Cost for the rides could be lower. Props appear old and damaged; decor improvement and modernization is necessary, although the attractions can still function.
